SC orders launch of KCR operations in six months

The Supreme Court (SC) has expressed dismay over failure of railways secretary and advocate general for Sindh to provide any proper update about the project to revive Karachi Circular Railway (KCR) and relocation of the affected people. The SC has cautioned that PM Imran Khan, Sindh CM and others concerned could be put on contempt notice over non-compliance with the court directives despite a lapse of two years. The SC has directed to carry out the operation for removal of encroachments from all lands meant for KCR to start its operations within six months.
