Finance Minister Asad Umar has said that Pakistan is very close to securing an IMF bailout package. However, he clarified that PM Imran Khan’s meeting with IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde, on the sidelines of the World Govt. Summit was not a negotiation round and no deal was reached between the two sides; in fact, the meeting was meant to build common ground between top leadership of the two sides.
