ADB in its latest report, “Key indicators for Asia and the Pacific 2020” has said that Pakistan tax-to-GDP ratio decreased by 1.4% in 2019 compared to 2018. It stated that comparing 2018 to 2019, the govt. tax-to-GDP ratio rose in 11 of the 26 reporting economies. By 2019, however, only Pakistan had a comparative advantage; both traditional revealed comparative advantage (TRCA) and the NRCA for Bangladesh and India had fallen below 1.
