IMF sets 11 new structural benchmarks on reforms

IMF has set 11 new Structural Benchmarks (SBs) on critical next steps for already ongoing reforms including paying first tranche of pending amount to the power producers and publication of the audit of Covid-19 related expenditures. The SBs included the establishment of a treasury single account (TSA-1) by the end-May’21 and reintroduction of the track-and-trace system for tobacco products by end-Jun’21 and publication of awarded Covid-spending related contracts and beneficial ownership information of bidding and awarded legal persons on a centralized website by Apr’21.
