Pakistan beats key growth targets in FY21

The govt. has unwrapped the economic survey of its third year in power. During a press briefing, Finance Minister Shaukat Tarin announced special incentives for important ministries such as housing and construction. He said that Pakistan was ahead of FY21 targets set by the govt. and IMF. When Covid-19 started, the working population was 55.74Mn, which dropped to 35Mn but has been restored to 53Mn. He mentioned that the govt. is trying to control inflation and enhance production; hence, the budget focuses on agriculture.
